Accomodations

Campsites

There are three primary campgrounds in Yosemite Valley (the location of the conference): North Pines, Upper Pines, and Lower Pines. Each campground has several campsites. Campsites are ideal for camping and accomodate tents and RVs or trailers. Each campsite usually has room to accomodate at least one vehicle and will have a bear box (a metal box to place all of your food, drinks, and toiletries to deter bears), a bonfire with a grill, and a picnic table with benches. The campgrounds have a few common bathrooms that include sinks, toilets, and power outlets. Individual Campsites do not have power outlets. Showers are not provided in the campgrounds so campers will need to make other accomodations for showers. To reserve a campsite for the week of the conference, you will need to create an account on RECREATION.gov and reserve a campsite through that website. The campsite booking window for the week of the conference opens on February 15 at 7:00 am PST. Keep in mind that you'll be competing with the rest of the world to reserve campsites, so there's no guarantee that you'll get a site. Each campsite has different dimensions and restrictions. You can find these details on the RECREATION.gov website. If you haven't camped outdoors before or if this is your first time attending the conference, we encourage you to contact us for more information and details.

Housekeeping

The Housekeeping campground in Yosemite Valley provides a camping experience with some more ameneties than campsites, which provides a camping experience that doesn't feel too far from home. Housekeeping units are partially enclosed wooden structures (not sealed or locked) and include a bunk bed, master bed, storage areas, electrical outlets, a bonfire with a grill, a picnic table with benches, and a bear box (a metal box to place all of your food, drinks, and toiletries to deter bears). Common bathrooms are available in the campground and include sinks, toilets, and showers. Each two housekeeping units are adjoining - a single structure includes two housekeeping units. Parking is available for vehicles but there is no room for RVs or trailers. Space outside of a housekeeping unit is not as spacious as a campsite but enough room is available to have a bonfire next to the unit. To reserve a housekeeping unit for the week of the conference, you will need to create an account on Yosemite.com and reserve a houskeeping unit through that website. The housekeeping booking window for the week of the conference opens one year and one day prior to the conference at 7:00 am PST. Keep in mind that you'll be competing with the rest of the world to reserve units, so there's no guarantee that you'll get a unit. If you haven't camped in housekeeping before or if this is your first time attending the conference, we encourage you to contact us for more information and details.

Lodges and Cabins

Similar to a typical hotel experience, Lodges and Cabins provide more ameneties than both campsites and housekeeping units. Lodges and Cabins are hotel-like rooms, fully furnished with beds, heaters, bathrooms and showers, towels, electricity, and more. Parking is available for vehicles in common parking. To reserve a lodge or cabin for the week of the conference, you will need to create an account on Yosemite.com and reserve a unit through that website.
